Product Highlights
The Simton IPX P200 is the next generation of IPX P100. It is the smallest hybrid IP PBX in the world.
| 1. |
P201-1 has one FXO port used to connect to PSTN and one FXS port for an analog phone or fax machine. The PSTN line can be used as a backup line when VoIP lines are down, or for local emergency calls. During a power outage, the power coming from the PSTN line will be able to drive the analog phone on the FXS port. |
| 2. |
P200-2 has two FXO ports that are commonly used for PSTN connections. If VoIP service is not available, small businesses often need more than one PSTN line to support IP phone extensions to make external calls. P200-2 does not have FXS port for analog phones or fax machines. |
| 3. |
P202-0 has two FXS ports and no FXO ports. It is a good choice for users who would like to keep a valuable analog phone such as 2-line front desk phone. Usually, VoIP subscriber lines will be needed for external calls. P202-0 can also be used as a simple VoIP gateway, one VoIP line for each analog extension. |
IPX P200 is frequently used in small offices with up to 8 people. It can join an enterprise network and make a small or mobile office a part of an organization. IPX P200 can be used to build a family network when some family members are in different countries.
Notes
IPX P200 has much larger system capacity than the P100 and therefore will be able to provide advanced voice services such as on-board voice mail, ACD, customizable IVR. If large storage on board is needed, IPX P200 can be customized to have a large permanent memory for sophisticated applications.

The Simton IPX is a hybrid IP PBX with
optional, but very rich features found in full PBXs, VoIP
gateways, IP routers, and firewalls. The Simton IPX has flexible
and reliable methods to connect with PSTN's, the Internet,
and VoIP networks.
Using Simton's distributed VoIP technologies, an enterprise
customer with branch offices can easily build a data and voice
VPN (V²PN). The Simton IPX can convert a legacy PBX into an
IP PBX and migrate existing voice and data networks into a
convergent network.
For VoIP service providers, the Simton IPX is an ideal CPE
for individuals, SOHO and enterprise customers. The Simton
IPX is easy to manage and very cost effective.
PBX Features:
The Simton IPX supports analog phones and analog/digital trunks
to the PSTN (central office). It has built-in PBX features
including auto attendant, caller id, 3-way calls, call transfer
and many other useful features. The Simton IPX also provides
life line support that allows some phones to connect to the
PSTN during a power outage.
VoIP Gateway:
The Simton IPX supports standard VoIP protocols. Multiple
VoIP accounts can be shared by the local extensions on one
Simton IPX. With VoIP services from an ISP, communications
costs, especially for long distance calls, can be significantly
lowered. Many PBX features such as DID and ACD are also available
for the VoIP connections.
Voice Intranet:
Multiple Simton IPX systems can form a mesh voice intranet
or a star voice intranet (also called Voice VPN in general).
An organization using Simton's distributed VoIP technologies
does not need a centralized soft switch. 2 or 3 Simton IPX's
can form the simplest voice VPN, which can grow to any size
if needed. A Simton IPX based voice intranet can be viewed
as a virtual wide area PBX over an IP network. Call transfer,
conference calls, unified dialing plan, mobile office, contact
center and many applications are available and/or can be easily
configured.
Using the PSTN interfaces of Simton IPX and IPX based voice
intranet, especially when global locations are involved, can
intelligently route voice calls to destination PSTN numbers
with the lowest cost.
IP Routing and NAT:
On the WAN side, the Simton IPX supports PPPoE, DHCP, and
static IP routing for selective ways to access the Internet.
The Simton IPX has NAT capabilities and provides DHCP and
DNS services to PC's and other IP stations in a private LAN.
